COMMITTEE REPORTS

Civic:   Active Transportation Advisory Committee meets week after our board meeting; Ron suggested bicycle crossing lights on Floyd trail at main crossroads.  Siouxland Interstate Metropolitan Planning Council ‘SIMPCO’ has not had a meeting and communications with this organization have been poor, reported Greg.

RAGBRAI: 4 registrations for 2026. We need 70 registrations & 30 people on the bus to be profitable. Historically we have charged $250 for a week + $125 for bus ride back (2025); $235 (2024) then $225 (2023).  We became an official charter in 2025 which explains that increase.  Being a Charter gives us status and better connections.  Expenses anticipated for 2026 include a new awning and shower floors.

Motion to increase 2026 RAGBRAI registration to $275 with the plan to not have an increase for next 2-3 years.  $125 for those riding the bus that will return to Sioux City.  Motion approved.
